Alpha Epsilon Delta is a nationally organized premedical honor society. AED first became a formal organization at the University of Alabama on April 28, 1926. There now exist multiple chapters spanning the borders of the United States.
AED holds bi-monthly meetings on Tuesday nights at which guest speakers are invited to address our members. The speakers are of varied backgrounds, ranging from physicians and healthcare practitioners to members of medical school acceptance and recruitment faculty. Alpha Epsilon Delta is not only an honor society, but a service organization as well.
As a group, we provide numerous hours of volunteer service to our community and university. The Theta Chapter also promotes a close working relationship with health care practitioners in our area. Many of our members volunteer and work in a variety of capacities throughout our region.
We invite all persons seeking information about pre-health care education opportunities to attend our meetings. Use the link labeled Calendar, located on the right, to find the time and place of our next meeting.
